Who: Andrew Niesen & Rachel LaCour Niesen
Andrew Niesen & Rachel LaCour Niesen are co-founders of LaCour (www.LaCourphoto.com), a wedding photography studio in Atlanta whose creative mission is to document the first chapter of each new family story. In addition to helping educate clients about the value of photography and how their photos will lay the foundation for their family legacies, Andrew and Rachel are also active in educating photographers about studio workflow and business practices. Along with their longtime business partner, Mark Adams, Andrew and Rachel created ShootQ.com (www.ShootQ.com), a studio management solution for photographers. Before immersing themselves in wedding photography, Andrew and Rachel worked as a photojournalists in the news industry. As photojournalists, Andrew and Rachel photographed groups ranging from migrant farmworkers to female wrestlers. Their work appeared in The London Times, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times and The Miami Herald. When they stumbled upon wedding photography, Andrew and Rachel quickly traded their front row seats to world history for front row seats to family history.
