->> All the Ohio students need to take advantage of this opportunity. Period.
You have no idea how gosh darn lucky you are to have this stellar contest in your backyard, and to have such great access to top-notch judges for you to learn from and network with.
It is not easy to hold a contest... especially one the scope and caliber of BOP. It's even harder to bring it to a relatively remote place like Athens. But the organizers do it for a reason: they want it to benefit those who will be the future of our industry.
Thank them through your attendance and volunteer participation.
If you take it to heart, BOP will be an experience that will stick with you forever. |

->> Jenny,
Are they still doing volunteer sign-ups? I don't have any VisCom classes this quarter so I always miss out on this stuff. I want to help out, let me know if I can!

| ->> We're close to deciding on the judges, when everything is final I'll let you guys know. I'm not sure about the broadcast thing. I don't think we've ever done that before, does anyone have any suggestions on how to get that started? Kyle, YES we need many, many more volunteers for different days and time slots. Sign-up sheets are posted on the counter in the VisCom office. Encourage your friends to sign up too. Maybe doing something good, like volunteering, will stop your recurring dream of Dodgeball domination. Good luck with that. |

->> It's finally here! Today begins the editing portion of BOP, judging is taking place today through Saturday at Ohio University.
The judges are Bronwen Latimer, Sue Morrow, Jenn Poggi and John Rumbach. The webcast has been vetoed by the powers that be, but we're going to try to get approval to update the twitter account, SoulOfAthens. If we get approval, we'll be using the same #bop and #nppa hashtags that Melissa did in St. Pete. Stay tuned, it's going to get exciting! |

| ->> We're in the second day and so far I've learned a great deal and met some extremely helpful picture editors. For my fellow Bobcats in Athens and surrounding areas, do not miss this opportunity as it runs through Saturday. |

| ->> Interesting comments during the sessions I attended. More students need to sit in on these to learn (you don't have to volunteer to assist to attend). Hope more students show up on Saturday, no classes to interfere. |
