Canon g10 Time lapse mode?

->> So I have a Canon g10 and for the life of me I can't seem to find a way to do time lapse with it. I know it can be done because our own "Big Kahuna" Robert Hanashiro has a video on his page that he made with a g10 in time lapse mode at the SAG Awards.
For some reason all the information I am finding online about it is that the g9 had that feature but Canon dropped it when they made the g10.
So anyone who has some idea how to do this please let me know
Thanks in advance

->> I've done several time lapse sequences with my G10 using a MultiMax.
I used a custom "Cullen Cord" to connect the camera and 'Max.
Not sure why Canon decided to take a step backward and take out this cool feature which was in the G9. |

->> There are a few time lapse remotes out there that will fit the G10/Rebels:

->> Well that kind of really sucks, but its still a really great little camera. Curtis I guess ill have to look into one of the remotes you posted I think might work for me. Anyway thanks for all the responses and if anyone has a g9 they want to get rid of let me know! I'm just kidding ill deal with what Ive got here.
Thanks again

->> So I have a couple of the 5DmI bodies. I am about to buy a G10 for a walkaround P&S.
Is there a device either from Canon (TC-80N3) or the aftermarket (Phottix or PW) that will let me do time lapse shots on both the 5dmI and the G10?
Maybe some adapter for the Canon 3-pin to the jack that goes in a G10 and then use any of the above. |

->> I bought an adapter cable from this nice gentleman from Austria. Adapts my TC-80N3 (and Phottix remote release) to my G10 - works like a charm and quite affordable - $29 shipped, showed up in a little over a week and he warranties it for one year.
Drop him an email and he'll respond with payment instructions.

->> Mark,
I'm curious about this converter. How is the quality of it? Good connection between the standard TC-80n3 plug connection and the cable adapter? |

->> Thanks Mark.
As I sat pondering the capability of time lapse pix with the same unit (TC-80N3 or similar) on both my 5DmI and my impending G10... I thought why not ask SS?
And sure enough - I had my answer within an hour. Gotta love SS!! |
