| ->> i am looking to get some opinions on SmugMug, Zenfolio and Exposure Manager. Which ones are the best for the service offered? Pros and cons. Any suggestions for any other hosting sites? I don't have the excess cash-flow to bust out for a complete custom design agency-built site with galleries and eCommerce capabilities. so, i've been toying with going down the above path. comments on the subject? |

->> I was with Exposure Manager for awhile and it was fine, but I moved everything to Photoshelter. Photoshelter is a better setup for the kind of stuff I do.
But if you do something like event photography where you want to offer a lot of options for print packages, etc. then something like Exposure Manager is great. |

->> Mike Brice will say:
"Delane beat me to the punch, but you can't beat a service like Exposure Manager where you can FTP images to you account right out of Photo Mechanic...
That's just one of the features...
I could go on, but I think it is pretty clear their benefits if you check out the site... http://www.exposuremanager.com
If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me an e-mail."
:)
(That felt good...I haven't done that in a while...) |

->> I've used Smugmug for about 3 years now. http://jamaal.smugmug.com/ I was about to switch over to EM last year because of a similar thread, but a buddy of mine lost her entire work she did because of hard drive failure and Smugmug sent her discs of her entire account for about $35.00 bucks and every image was the same as the original she uploaded. Now granted she only uploaded Jpegs, but she went from zilch to her entire library in about 2 weeks. That's why I upload everything to my site no matter what it is because it is a great offsite storage and they don't care how big your library gets. Well they haven't asked me to minimize my storage space yet. Knock on wood......
