Shutter Actuations on Canon and Nikon

->> I thought my Nikon D2X had a lot of shutter actuations at over 300k, but I just checked a friend's Canon Mark 2N and his has 459892. I am amazed. This is the camera I recently got for my husband. Is this the "norm" for the Mark2N?

->> Hey Deb... I have what you might call, a heavy finger!
I had well over 400K on my Mark IIn when my viewing screen died during a Dolphins game. Not the shutter, but the viewing screen. Canon rebuilt the ENTIRE camera - buttons and all for only $700! - and I am well past the second round of 400K - will soon be rebuilt again and handed down to my son. Just waiting to see how long it takes to die!
My son has worn out my old battery eating rebuilt 1d so he is ready for an upgrade!
