It doesn't say and I can't see a photo of the back. I'm kinda doubting it but I wanna get two if they can be daisy chained.
Thanks,

->> A firewire hub will do this trick. I have connected four card readers this way to "ingest" cards via Photo Mechanic.

->> So what is currently the fastest downloading setup using Photo Mechanic and Sandisk Extreme III/IV cards? The Sandisk Extreme readers and a firewire hub? What is the smokin' fast hardware combo for multiple cards these days?

->> Michael I have that reader and use it daily. It is screaming fast. As far as using 2, it's so fast that I haven't ever considered adding a second. If you have a firewire port you will bot regret this reader.
Just keep one thing in mind. I haven't had any luck getting this to work on my laptop. The laptop has a 4 pin port and the reader is supplied with a 6 pin cable and a FW800 cable. Even when I tried a 4 to 6 pin converter it didn't work. |

->> Eric,
The extra two pins in the 6-pin connector are for power. Guess what the 4-pin doesn't supply to the reader?
If you follow the Big Kahuna's advice, most hubs are powered (via a separate power supply). But that's kind of clunky to bring along with a laptop.
Solution: try a UDMA PC card. There are a couple of them out there, and they're almost as fast as FireWire.

->> Nope ...my firewire hub is bus powered. I have used 3 and 4 readers at one time without the external power supply.

->> Have any of you used, or aware of, a Firewire 800 hub? The only one I've seen only has 3 total ports, providing for just 2 readers to be attached.

->> Correction...it allows connection of three devices (sure would be nice to have an edit function on this board).
