| ->> I'm running PS CS. Lately I've been having the problem of some photos being rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise when opening them in PS. In the Mac Finder preview pane, they're oriented correctly, and they're fine in Photo Mechanic, but they rotate when I open them in PS. It's only on some images, though. For instance, I just opened opened 23 pictures from February to start culling for this month's clip contest, and two of them opened with the wonky rotation. Any ideas on how I solve this? When I re-rotate them to the correct orientation and save them that way, they still open incorrectly the next time. |

->> Try programming an action to do a "Save As" rather than a plain-Jane "save".
This may also be related to the camera you are using. Are you using an older Canon camera such as a 1D for instance? The files from a 1D had no orientation data and vertical images would always be oriented incorrectly. |

| ->> Problem solved. I scrapped my PS preferences and restarted the program. |
