->> I am using the Photo Mechanic IPTC Stationary Pad to add captions. Every time I highlight the images for a specific caption and "Apply Stationary to Selected" my created caption gets applied to the entire folder.
I am sending my problem over to Camera Bits but thought i might also find a quick fix here. |

| ->> Tell us a little bit about your workflow. Also, what system are you using? Are you working off the card or are you transferring to your computer first? Details, details! |

| ->> Check to see if you have the " apply IPTC stationary pad to photo" box check during ingest. If so uncheck it. |

->> David - I am using a Macbook Pro and a Mac G5. Same problem on both computers leading me to believe it must be a simple error on my part i am not seeing. I am ingesting the photos directly into a created folder from my card. After ingesting, I am selecting photos in groups for captioning. For example, if 10 images are going to have the same caption, keyword etc. I'll select the first write the caption etc and then select the other nine and use the "Apply Stationary to Selected"
The problem is that somehow the IPTC data for the 10 images is attaching to the entire folder. |

| ->> In PM if you do a command I, then input your foundation information, it will stay there until you change it. You can make changes then apply to selected images and only those images will have the IPTC information attached to them. A very nice feature is "SAVE". This creates an .IPT file. Create a folder to save the IPT filesl. In the event you need the same information for a selected group of images in the future, then you can apply the .IPT file to all those images |

| ->> Are you actually clicking the blue "i" on the photo or looking at the info in photoshop? The IPTC stationary pad contains only the latest info you put in it.... I was confused by this for a while. |

| ->> When you open up the IPTC Stationary Pad, you'll notice that there are little checkboxes next to each entry. Are they checked? Only the checked ones will be transferred to your photographs. |

| ->> Whoops, I was answering a question that someone else had asked me. Got my PM questions switched there. What I meant to ask was when you transfer the images from the cards, is the box that says "apply IPTC info" checked? Basically what I'm asking is whether you're applying the caption to all the images during the transfer? |
