->> I'm going to sell my 10D but I need to know how many actuations I have on my camera. If anyone has the software that can tell I've posted the last picture on the following link if you could email me or post it here.

Thanks for any help.

->> Eric,
Odd - I tried to read your file with EXIF Viewer, and got:
Actuation Counter: 0
Actuation Multiplier: 0
Then tried to read it with Photo Mechanic and got no response. I think the 10D rolls over at 10,000 and resets the actuation number anyway, so whatever you get won't be accurate |

| ->> Oh, I have also found that editing and re-saving in PS will often delete the actuation counter. Do you have the original, unedited file? |

->> Dennis, that came right off the card to the internet. It has been unedited and is the original file.
Interesting!!! I'm sure someone will ask though.
How about this...
For Sale:Canon 10D with "0" actuations. Brand New!!! |

->> Not sure what's happening. PhotoMechanic is pretty reliable, at least for 1D series bodies and the numbers shown need no interpretation.
The numbers displayed in EXIF Viewer tend to be a little more cryptic. In either case, though, your file is showing "0".
Maybe someone who is more familiar with how the 10D works will be able to weigh in. |

| ->> If you look back at previous threads, you will find an endless number of discussions regarding this. It has been my understanding that the 10D/20D/30D cameras are not as easily to deal with regarding this. In fact it may be something that only Canon can tell you. Don't hold me to it, but that is what I remember hearing. |
