->> Is there a way to turn off (or change) the folder scheme to put all 800 images in one folder rather than divide them up in groups of 100? Every time I dump images from my CFs I have to access a bunch of folders. The 1D MKII puts them all in one folder...

->> Nope... that's one of the differences between the Pro series camera and the consumer/prosumer series of cameras.

->> there is no way to change that on the camera, they changed it to every thousand on the 30d, but I use photo mechanic to ingest my card and by selecting the "Ignore- Copy all photos into same destination" option in the ingest menu I don't have to bother with it cause it dumps all my shots into one folder. hope that helps.

->> If you're on a Mac use Image Capture, it'll put all the files in one folder.

->> Great. Never understood the thinking behind that decision.
I use Capture One to download the folder contents, but when it doesn't automatically load, I'm forced to download folder by folder.
Thanks all.
