| ->> I am having a problem with the auto rotate function on my MkIIn. It only works in the zoom browser software it will not work on the windows based picture viewer. Any ideas is this happening with anyone else? |

->> George,
We have noticed that the autorotate is just a directory or command for Photoshop. And it doesn't work on prior to CS Photoshop.
And when I save rotated files in PS, upon reopening, they sometimes rotate again, to the wrong angle. |

->> The Auto Rotate feature on camera do not actually rotate the image, the camera adds to the metadata for those images to indicate they should be rotated. The problem is some software does not recognize the metadata telling that it should be rotated. Check your files in software that will read the metadata correctly such as Photoshop or Photo Mechanic, the files should be fine.
Worth, when you resave the image, Photshop reads the metadata, rotated the image, then once you saved the file, it changes the actual file to the correct orientation. |
