Photo Mech Problem
Caleb Simpson, Photographer, Assistant

->> I am currently having a problem with photo mechanic when I have images sorted by capture time. I am edditing down over 600 images and every time I delete an Image it jumps to a random place in the photo edditing window, usually towards the bottom of the set of images or the top. It is very anoying having to scroll back up to where I was.

Now, if I edit the images in file order there are no problems. Does anybody know a solution to this so I can edit in chronological order. I was working with two camera bodies so there is a combined set of files.

->> Hey Caleb, what version are you using? One of the changes in version 4.4.3.1 (the most current is 4.4.3.2) was: "More intelligent handling of resetting selection after deleting photos in the contact sheet."

Any chance this would solve your problem? If not you can always jump over to the Camera Bits forum where they provide great support:

->> This is more workaround then real solution, but it might still be usefull. Don't delete photos right away but just mark them with one color reserved for "deleted photos". After you are through, sort photos by color, select photos marked with "color for deleted photos" and delete all of them at once.
