Thanks |

->> Has anybody tried Parallels?
It's a PC emulator for the Intel Macs that I hear people raving about OVER BootCamp, because you can run it side by side instead of re-booting and since Microsoft has killed VirtualPC.

->> For those moments right after you realize "Ack!, I just deleted the image folders I needed" Data Rescuse II saved me big time. It even sorts the recovred files by file type for you and it works on your hard drive as well as flash memory.

| ->> Yes Michael, that looks like the only way to go for now, I was looking at buying that software last week. To bad I'm in the process of getting rid of all my pc stuff. Than the mac world is trying to put windows back in my computers. I bought the mac's to get away from the pc world & all it's troubles. Funny how the world works. |

->> http://cyberduck.ch/
a free ftp app.. so easy to use i downloaded it and was ftp'ing with ease in minutes. superb and has made my working day so much easier. for those of you who don't ftp images to your clients, it's WAY faster than email as it transfers just the image file(s) data directly to your client's server.

->> TinkerTool.app
http://www.bresink.com/osx/TinkerTool.html
You can put double scroll-bars at the top and bottom of your windows. If you've ever had a permissions problem where your jpegs and other images can't be opened by other staffers when you copy them to the server this can solve that. And a great feature is the ability to make desktop screenshots save as jpeg instead of png files. And many other things in its very cool feature set. |

->> For those of us old enough to remember Now Utilities and System 7 (a moment of silence please...). Take a look at You Control (http://www.yousoftware.com/control/) a selection of menu enhancers and little apps that make getting around your computer a lot simpler.
Some of my other favorites:
Spell Catcher (works with everything): http://www.rainmakerinc.com/
Default Folder (lets you set favorite folders and works in the Open/Save boxes): http://www.stclairsoft.com/DefaultFolderX/
Two of the others mentioned, Disk Warrior and Transmit are absolutely essential. To me they are as important as Photoshop.

->> An excellent DVD to MP4 converter. If you have an iPhone, iPod video or AppleTV this is a great app to have. It will allow you to create files from your movies formatted for various Apple devices.
