->> I have a 512mb Cf card with 180 images visible when viewing then on my 1D. However, when I put the cf card into my computer, the the cf card has the 100EOS1D folders inside but iot is empty.
When I try to ingest the cf card with Photo Mechanic it won't ingest because it sees an empty card.
I also tried getting the files out of the camaera via firewire, from camera to computer, using zoombrowser. I can see the files in zoombrowser, however it would only download the first 40 then give me a message it can't recognize the remaining files.
The 512mb card was the first card I used. Every other card after that worked fine. I do remember taking a picture and getting a big question mark. I deleted the question mark,and now I can't think of any other way to retreave the files. any suggetions?
Thanks! |

->> Photo Rescue won't work. If the cf card is in the computer it will cause Photo Rescue to crash. With out the card photo rescue works find, so i'm am not able to recover them via Photo Rescue.
Camera cable, I used the firewire cable, thats how I was able to download the first 40 images. After that it won't download any more. |

->> try deleting the 41st image in-camera?
Ok, this is a completely random hunch that may cause your camera to explode but it sounds like a corrupt image(or images) on the card.
Let me know if you survive the blast. |

| ->> O.K., the 41st image re-appeared after I deleted it, so I deleted it again. After that I was able to hook up the camera via the computer and down load then via breezebrowser. I just did 20 images at a time and started from the last image working my way back words to image #1 . A few of the files were corrupted. Having that green and pink tint to the images. Some were half black and purlpe at the top. So all in all myabe 12 -14 images were corrupted and I was able to save the rest. Thanks to all for the help and humor! |
