->> I know this is come up before but I've searched the message boards and can't find what I'm looking for.
I'm looking for a lab that will print archival, gallery quality prints up to 17 x 24. Can anyone help me with this and share experiences.
Thanks,
Chris Curry |

->> Chris,
If you want a place that is (sort of) drive-able for you, try the National Geographic lab in DC. They do numerous large prints for the White House News Photographers' Association annual awards exhibit that turn out quite nice.
It would be a long drive for you, but you could put it in the back of your car and not worry about damage during shipping. |

->> Also consider Mpix at www.mpix.com.
A 20x24 is $19.99 for matte paper or $24.99 for metallic (looks glossy). The metallic paper is beautiful for football action shots. You can just trim the print to 17x24. It's $9.95 for next day delivery, or just a few bucks if you're not in a hurry.
I upscale my shots to 300dpi at the desired size and then upload. |
