iView annotation question

->> I've finally decided to step forth from the dark ages and get some processing software. I'm pretty comfortable with iView and decided to keep it, (photo mechanic seemed too archaic). I haven't paid for any of them yet, so I'm still in the testing mode. One thing I want to know is, is there a way with any of these programs to automatically have the image file number inserted into the transmission reference field? I'm afraid that when I go to batch rename the photos I'll loose the file number associated with each one, which will down the road be a huge problem.

It seems like everything else is automated, so why can't that little function be as well. Or am I missing something in the preferences menu?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

->> Thomas, you can do that with Photo Mechanic. You didn't like v3?
