Captioning in Bridge

| ->> Is there a way to gang caption a folder of photos without loading the thumbs in Bridge. (or any other app for that matter.) I would really prefer to not buy another piece of software, but I have to caption many thousand photos and I don't like waiting for 800 thumbs to load before I can begin captioning. I'm using Bridge, which I like, but I would consider another app if it was reasonable priced and could do the job. |

You'll have the job done and a web gallery created before all the thumbs are loaded in Bridge. http://www.camerabits.com |

->> Clint,
PM is great but it is relatively expensive. If you are on a budget, look at ACDSee (www.ACDsystems.com) as it is only $50 or so and version 8 allows you to edit/apply captioning.
That being said, there still isn't anything better than PM in my opinion.

->> Bridge is an outstanding program.
However, what most people dont realize is that you must cache your files so that it doesn't have to load it each time.
Are you caching your images?

| ->> Well, so far PM will not load my Kodak raw files from my old 760. I'm still lookig into this. And Bridge will cache the pics, but it still has to load them one time and thats the time thats slowing me down. PM screams with nefs, but mostofmy old files are .dcr from Kodak 760 |
