Tiger/Photomechanic/Photoshop CS question

->> Hey everyone-

Just upgraded to Tiger (I waited for 10.4.1 before I switched from Panther) on my iBook G4, and I'm running Photoshop CS with Photo Mechanic 4.3.6.

The problem I'm running into is mostly with photoshop. I can't drag files down to the photoshop icon on the dock to open them, nor can I highlight images in PhotoMechanic and do a command-e to open those files in PS. Is anyone else having issues like this with photomechanic and PS in Tiger? I know someone mentioned that they couldn't drag images to the dock from the desktop to open them, but that was in a thread pre-10.4.1, so I figured I'd ask to see if anyone has resolved the issue or come up with a workaround.

Thanks,

Will

->> its a problem in the scripting additions folder. Look for a file called adobe unit types. It SHOULD be in HD/library/scriptingadditions/adobe unit types. If it isn't. Make a folder in the library called "ScriptingAdditions", and place the Adobe Unit Types file in it. restart, and it should be fixed. be sure that when you make the folder, if it isn't there, that it is one word just as in the quotes above, with the caps set that way too, otherwise you will create problems.

->> Hey everyone-

Just to follow up on this, Kirk Baker at Camera Bits emailed me (incredibly quickly, I may add), apparently several people have had this issue as well. Kirk told me that reinstalling Photoshop would cure the problem. I just did it, and everything is working smoothly.
Gavin: I tried what you suggested and I'm not sure if I did it incorrectly or what, but I was not able to get that to work. About the same time I tried, I got the email from Kirk, decided that rather than messing around (I'm a mac newbie) I'd go with the reinstall.
Hope this helps if anyone else is having trouble-thanks again to Kirk and the rest of the Camera Bits team.
