->> The ACR (Adobe Camera Raw) plugin has to have the manufactures information on the raw file in order to process it. I am sure Adobe will release an updated ACR plugin just like they have in the past as new cameras/raw files are released.

->> In the meantime use Nikon Capture. I believe you get a free trial period after you download it from Nikon. It includes a simple PhotoShop plug-in but I use the application as a step between Photo Mechanic and PhotoShop. I wish Nikon's PhotoShop plug-in was as full featured as Adobe's raw plug-in and didn't have to use the stand alone application, but I get better color going through Nikon Capture. This was something Ron Taniwaki told me and I have to admit he was right about that one. (but don't tell Ron I said so) :-)

->> Yeah, Clint, think about it... Photoshop CS was written before the D2X was invented! No way the guys at Adobe, as bright as they are, can build in compatability for something that doesn't exist yet.

Now, the programmers at Nikon, or whoever they outsource their software to, got to develop the newest version of Capture in parallel with the camera, so it'll work right from the get go!

Give Adobe 30 days or so (if that), and I'm sure they'll have a patch on their website you can download that'll make CS work with the D2X files.

BTW, how do you like the camera so far??

->> Thanks all. I figured it was just a software compatibility issue, but I thought I would ask to see if there was something else I didn't know....
and Thomas.. i don't own the camera, just tried to download some samples.
