Photo Mechanic Ingest doesnt... ingest?

->> Hi all.. I've got a photo mechanic question for all of you out there.

I am trying to use Photo Mechanic's ingest function to copy our cards, rename, and apply IPTC info all in one swoop. But today, I was watching it ingest my card and it would skip numbers randomly. Curious, I checked the copied files against the card, and sure enough... it copied 358 photos. 408 were on the card.

Does anyone else have this problem? Has anyone found any workarounds?

Thanks everyone

Any chance you've got PM setup to only ingest locked files? I'm guessing not since all but 50 were copied and I doubt you'd lock 358 files, but I guess it's worth asking.

->> Hey Shaun, I hate to say it, but it sounds like your copy of PM isn't valid. Behavior like you describe is one of the things that happens when an invalid/hacked/whatever serial number is used to register the program.

Contact Camera Bits and they should be able to tell you if the serial number you're using is flagged as invalid for some reason.
