->> Yomi's back! How's he been? I haven't heard from him in weeks. He wanted to buy a "camera of the Nikon F4 in condition that is used" from me last month. If anybody out there decides to sell anything to Yomi, send to to me and I'll be sure to get it to him.

->> BTW Daniel,

Thanks for the tip on Postal Money Order security features. Does the M/O you got have the security features or was it pretty hard to tell it was fake? I'm going to move a ton of stuff on eBay real soon and am curious about that, as well as other fraud prevention details.

->> Lot of scams coming out of Africa, especially Nigeria right now. I was almost scammed when I sold a 1d body to a guy in Nigeria. He was using bidpay to transfer the funds and used a counterfiet bidpay confermation email to let me know the funds had been sent and that they were on their way. He unfortunately used an old format of the email that isn't used anymore by bidpay which tipped me off about the possible scam. I did some research and the security department of DHL shipping informed me that a lot of packages going to Nigeria, as well as other parts of Africa, were being recalled by the shippers due to fradulent funds. Be very careful before sending something to another country.

->> I recently had a Nikon 85mm 1.4 for sale and the same scammer emailed me to purchase the lens. To make long story short, he did send 2 USPS money orders ($1000 each) with the payer address as David Woods. This issue has been addressed here before but I saw the money orders and they look very very convincing and close to the real thing. Just be on the lookout for Yomi Justice.

->> Oscar:
Before you send out the merchandise from your eBay sales take the money orders to your bank. It takes them about 15 sec. to tell if the MO is a fake. In your auctions, put that MO payments will be held 15 days for the payment to clear the bank. This way if the bank isn't sure or made a mistake you'll know about it before you ship out the product.

->> Recently I advertised my availability for the MAC Basketball tournament here in Cleveland on SS.com.

I received an email asking for "the current condition of the product" and "my last selling price".

Ok, if you are trying to scam us at least READ the AD.

I've seen these before from eBay listings but this one cracked me up.

All that information is on the US mail page
Sure wish I had caller ID today to get the scum bag.

Did call the postal inspector right after the Yomi call.
Interesting how the criminal trolls this sight.

They looked ok but still fishy so I went and bought a WalMart M.O. just to see...and not to my suprise...FAKES!!!! Didn't have the camera any more so not an issue. ->> If somebody deliberately sends you an overpayment and asks for return of the overage, tell them "no" and thank them for the extra money.

Or invite them to pick it up in person and arrange for Postal Inspectors to be there at the same time.
