->> I am still trying find a simple cheap slide show program. I have founds may for PC, but not both for Mac and PC. I am using Adobe acrobat PDF fie to send my pics. I like it, it's simple and very easy to make. I am trying to make an auto run CD with pics.
The pdf is fine and it look good if I import Tiff files. It's not auto run, but it's easier to view.
let me know people.

| ->> there is a program called "live slideshow" that will run the images on PC & Mac platforms. It's a pretty easy drag & drop application but has some nice features. |

->> PDF is good, real good. you can have it load full screen and have navigation. Auto load is bad, very few programs can do it and you are libal to crash someone's computer.
here is a good program:

->> One of the cool features of Extensis Portfolio 6.1 (runs native in OS X) will let you create a quicktime show with several transition options.
i-view nedia pro has a slide show option (if you have Toast you have a version of i-media in the photo folder) |

->> PJ and Sean. I went to the wesite and I am downloading now. So if I make the auto-run show on my pc and burn it on CD, a Mac user will be able to view the show right?
Thanks guys |

| ->> How about Apple Keynote if you're a Mac user? It can export to a variety of formats so it can be played back on Mac or Windows. It's a fairly new program. |

->> I have downloaded the Live slide show. I can not get a slide show program that can start when I click on it. Also I can't make a full size window to cover the whole screen. I know I am doing somethin wrong. I Import the image, Drag it, set the time for each slide and then save it. But I can't make an executable show. I save it as a movie but I can't view it.

->> Quickshow LT for the mac works well if you know the other end uses a mac (students sending portfolios to editors)
iPhoto will let you export as a quicktime movie in about 20 seconds
iView does it too
Powerpoint gives you a little more control over timing the photos to music
iMovie gives you a little more control (fading sound up and down, more transitions, etc)
Quicktime files can be pretty big though...
You can use Flash , Director, or Final Cut Pro if you want to get serious...
I have both kinds on my member page: one created in flash, the other in iPhoto.

->> Here's a relatively new product from Adobe, called Photoshop Album. It's a standalone (so you don't need Photoshop) and can create PDF slideshows with music, transitions, and all that stuff, and by being an Acrobat file, is universally readable - solves the Mac/Windows issue nicely. More info from their site at:
http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshopalbum/main.html
Oh yes, it's 49 bucks. Works on both platforms. |
