Devin, ACDSee does batch rename but not how I want it to. Hassel, that looks like it might work - I'll try that. Delane, I havn't used Downloader Pro. From the description on the website it describes "flexible" renaming options... do you know if it does what I want to do after I've already downloaded the photos? There is an option there to start numbering the files at a specific number. Just change the start number to the first number of your image. I don't want to change the existing 4-digit file number for the images, only remove or customize what is in the 100_ portion of the file name. I typically use ACDSee for batch renaming because it is quick and easy but it doesn't do what "1-4a" Rename does.
