Would you switch from Photo Mechanic to Breeze Browser?

->> I've noticed lately that many seasoned photogs are using Breeze Browser rather than Photo Mechanic. Any thoughts from those who have switched?
Regards,

| ->> If I'm reading their web page correctly, no. It seems to be PC/Windoze only. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. |

->> Andrew;
It is PC/Windows software. My enquiry is more towards the pros and cons of Breeze Browser compared to Photo Mechanic. |

| ->> I've been using breeze browser since version 1 and I really like it. I tried photo mechanic last year after the luau where everyone was bragging about how great it was. Maybe I'm just stuck in my ways, but I liked the layout and workflow of breeze better. Both have some unique functions, which may or may not be addressed in the future. Breeze has a raw support for 1dmkII in it's latest version. I use the html templates as well. They both have a version of downloader, but I tend to stuff the cf card into the computers card reader and copy directly to a file on the hard drive. don't need anything fancy. Of course I use acdsee and front page, so maybe you'll want someone elses opinion. |

| ->> I'm with Darrell on this one. My needs are not too fancy and I find breeze a breeze to use with MKII RAW files. I too copy straight from the CF to my hard drive, no renaming, etc... |

->> I'm also a BreezeBrowser user and really like it. I've tried PhotoMechanic multiple times but never saw anything that outstanding about it. BreezeBrowser works great with jpgs and Canon raw files (and other raw formats as well). You can batch IPTC caption info to the files, batch rename the files, and the built in html templates are very nice (or you can modify them to your own liking by reading the instructions). From what I can see it does everything PM does (except the ftp function) for less than $45.
