->> Has anyone had problems with a D1X which for no apparent reason will shoot a high contrast image every few frames?

I have the problem with my 2 D1X's when I open the images in photo mechanic every so often there will be a high contrast image which looks terrible compared to the normal contrast images, this is happening with both cameras and also a coleague is having the same problem when using fotoStation as his image browser.I am curious if anyone else has this problem and if there is something in the camera set up menus I am overlooking. One of my bodies has just returned from NPS so I am confused with this problem.

->> Nigel,
are these high contrast shots with or without a flash? I have this problem sometimes with the flash but that's because i just find these digi flashes inconsistent. I switched to my old SB26 and the problem has been solved.
Hope this helps
Debbie

->> Debra, they are just frames shot outside without flash and for some strange reason every 5th or 6th image will open up in photo mechanic with a high contrast reading whereas the others open with a normal contrast reading. Im waiting on a reply back from NPS on the matter ( sometime in the future )
