Modified Liner
Next, I cut out the center of the pan (right) to match the outer diameter of the lens hood for my Canon 28-70 f2.8. The plan was to have the reflector fit snugly around the hood, but I quickly found that a little play didn't hurt (it meant that the ring light, ultimately handheld because of the weight of the flash, would come off the lens easy, and, I could use it with other lenses besides the 28-70).
