Will Lester/Inland Valley Daily Bulletin | Funny car driver Tony Pedregon suffers one of the worst engine explosions in years as he races at close to 300 mph during the first round of eliminations Sunday morning February 10, 2008 while racing against John Force at the 48th annual NHRA Winternationals at Pomona Raceway.
