| John David Emmett/The News-Press | "Oh my God! Oh my God! Please don't let my home burn down," pleaded Jeanette Bonneau of 806 Highland Road in Lehigh Acres on Saturday. Bonneau and her husband, Paul, stayed at their house as fires burned all around them in Lehigh Acres on Saturday April 29, 2006. A fire raged right next to their house but seemed to spare the structure as the vegetation ignited but burned out with the help of a shift in wind directions. Copyright: The News-Press |
