| Craig Mitchelldyer/Mitchelldyer Photography | Intel technician Carlos Jones from Portland, Ore. reflects the image of University of Oregon student Lydia Webb in a 12-inch wafer containing hundreds of microprocessors. Intel announced this week that it will build a $3 billion wafer fabrication facility in Chandler, Ariz. to manufacture next generation computer chips for desktop and laptop PCs in 2007.
