December, 2017 [ recent winners ] << previous next >> First Place: "Fatal Building Crash" Matthew Hinton | New Orleans Police respond to a fatal accident of Mazada CX-9 that drove into a building in the 1800 block of St. Bernard Ave. in New Orleans, La. Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017. NOPD PIO Aaron Looney said the vehicle traveled down A. P. Tureaud Ave. and for unknown reasons lost control jumping the median on St. Bernard Ave. and crashing into the building after glancing off a tree. The driver was transported to hospital and a passenger was pronounced dead on the scene.
