Second Place: "Police Dog Team"
Darryl Dyck/Edmonton Sun | Edmonton Police Service Canine Unit dog handler Constable Tom Pallas watches as his dog Teak as he leaps into the air outside the Vallevand Kennels in Edmonton, Alta., Thursday Sept. 4, 2003 evening. Pallas and his dog are one of eleven handler/dog teams on the force. The teams respond to calls that involve tracking, criminal apprehension, area/building searches, evidence searches, and narcotic/explosive detection.
