| Corey Perrine/The Augusta Chronicle | Richard Link bowls Friday, June 4 at Gordon Lanes Bowling Center in Fort Gordon. Link, a retired veteran, lost his leg in 2007 after complications from diabetes. "I knew is would mess up my game," Link said. "Three days after surgery I wasn't doing too well (on the lanes), he said with a laugh. The 69 year-old has been bowling in leagues since 1955 and was averaging a 165 but now has a respectable 140.
