Shooters Choice Award: "Blow Out!"

Carlson/The Californian | Temecula, CA - 8/21/03 - A pursuit suspect's tire separates, after driving over a spike strip, as he passes under Santiago Road on southbound I-15, in Temecula while being pursued by California Highway Patrol officers. The driver, holding a gun in his right hand, continued on the rim for another 20 miles. After a lengthy standoff which closed the freeway for five hours, the suspect killed himself as officers closed in. Copyright: North County Times
