May, 2009 [ recent winners ] << previous next >> First Place: "Painful" Joel Philippsen/The Republic | Jonathan Long of Columbus shows he is in pain as emergency personnel extract him out of his vehicle following the accident on US 31 near Taylorsville. The accident occurred when Long's vehicle crossed the southbound lanes of US 31 and was struck by a vehicle driven by Kerry Alesandro of Columbus. A total of 9 people including 6 who were children were transported to a hospital. Long was was airlifted to Methodist hospital in Indianapolis.
