THE ADN AT THE DNC
After overcoming great uncertainty and logistical hurdles, the Aspen Daily News had a presence at the 2008 Democratic National Convention held in Denver. Myself and reporter Andrew Travers spent five days in Denver covering the event. Although we were certainly the local little guys (cir. 15,000), we managed to penetrate the walls of security and bureaucracy and do some halfway-decent reporting. I shot more than 60 GBs from Sunday to Thursday night and have come away with more than 100 edited images that I'm planning on turning into a multimedia montage. Here are 10 very-tightly edited images that I wanted to share.
Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy.

I'm the Chief Photographer for the Aspen Daily News in Aspen, CO. My work has been published in several regional & national newspapers including The Denver Post, Rocky Mountain News, the Seattle Times, the Anchorage Daily News, the Boston Globe, the Washington Post, USA Today and The New York Times. My wire clients include the Associated Press, Bloomberg News and SIPA Press. My magazine clients include The New Yorker (advertorial), Rolling Stone, Playboy (music section), Conde Nast Traveller, Aspen Magazine, Aspen Sojourner, 5280, Powder, Skiing, Ski & Backpacker Magazine. I've also done some commercial work and event coverage for Hestra Gloves, High Society Freeride Company, The Aspen Institute & the towns of Aspen and Snowmass Village.
When I'm not shooting, you'll most likely find me skiing & snowboarding, biking & hiking or four-wheeling in my amazing backyard, which I like to call the Rocky Mountains.
I'm happy to shoot any editorial or commercial assignment and have a strong eye for capturing outdoor sports. I can shoot either digital or film and transmit on deadline.
