In The Bag - Packing for the Beijing Olympics (video)
USA TODAY staff photographer Robert Hanashiro has received many phone calls and emails from friends and colleagues asking for tips on how to pack for the upcoming Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China. Since this will be his 10th Olympic Games, Hanashiro thought he would share his strategy for how he will be carrying all of his photographic gear to China.

Bonds' 756 at 30fps (video)
For home run #756, staff photographer Robert Hanashiro was able to achieve 30 frames-per-second by constructing a three-camera sequence rig consisting of Canon Mark III digital camera bodies (10 fps each); three 600mm f/4 lenses; two sets of MultiMAX radio triggers and cords (plus 2 back ups); Slik "triple plate" (to mount three cameras/lenses); Gitzo Pro Studex tripod and tripod head; three 10-pound Boa sandbags.

Sports Illustrated's Peter Read Miller on assignment: Mexican Wrestling (video)
Max Morse and Peter Read Miller headed to Mexico's capital with 10 cases of gear and high hopes. They both felt that this was one of the interesting shoots they had been on and decided it would be exciting to try and turn the camera on themselves to document the trip. Armed only with a Canon Powershot SD800 (point-and-shoot) camera and a pack of SD cards, Morse, using Final Cut Pro, came back with enough footage to piece together a 9-minute web documentary tracking the pair on their journey south of the border.
