Josh Rasmussen's Message: Greetings! I'm Josh Rasmussen. I graduated with a master's in photojournalism from The University of Texas at Austin in spring, 2013. I'm originally from Idaho and like my wife, Ashley, I received a bachelor's degree in communication from Boise State before moving to Texas, but as of Christmas, 2015, we are located in Boulder, Colo. Most recently, we spent two years living in North Carolina where I served as the public relations coordinator at Randolph Hospital. While I was there, I did some freelance work for Duke University.

Prior to that, I interned with the Austin American-Statesman in spring of 2012 and the AHL's Texas Stars through the 2012-2013 season.

My photography background is definitely in print media but thanks to an aggressive social media push in Idaho and an emphasis on multimedia at UT, I'm well-versed in the online and real-time applications of news and photography. My training with newspapers has also given me a lot of reporting and writing skills and some pagination work, all of which have been recognized with awards.

I worked my way to managing editor of two student newspapers. One received a coveted Pacemaker award for a span of years including those with me at the helm.

I keep a website active as an online portfolio, a place to blog an occasional photo here and there and to act as a structure for processing payments for individuals and groups without accounting departments. You can visit it here:

I love to talk about all things sports and photography. Shoot me an e-mail here:
