The House of Tears Carvers
This is a long term project on a group of Native American carvers who create totem poles and take them to sacred spots around the country. Doug James uses a chainsaw to make initial cuts for a totem pole in an old growth cedar. The House of Tears Carvers is a group in the Lummi Nation who gather to carve caskets for elders who have died.
