Peyton Williams's Message: Lacrosse season is here, so I thought I'd update my page after over a year of neglect.

In May 2010, I had the great pleasure to follow the Duke Blue Devils as they won the 2010 NCAA Men's D1 Lacrosse Championship. I was given unrestricted access to the team on and off the field. Thanks to great access, I was able to work one of the most thrilling assignments of my life, covering a team as they won the national title. Oddly enough, I went to North Carolina but thankfully, aside from some jabs here and there, the coaches and players were very welcoming of me. While I’m a UNC alum at heart, I really fell in love with this team and I would not have traded this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for anything.

I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2000 where I first started photography. Soon after graduation, I wanted to try something new and moved to Washington, DC. There I worked for Georgetown University as a sports photographer. More so, I had the great privilege to understudy with Mitchell Layton, team photographer for the Washington Wizards and Washington Capitals. I assisted with team photography needed for the Wizards and Caps as needed.

After a great four years, I moved back to where I call home, North Carolina. My primary client is the NC State University athletic department where I am one of three photographers who covers Wolfpack sports. In 2005, a cover I did for the NCSU women's basketball team's media guide was judged "Best in the Nation" by CoSIDA. I also work for UNC-CH doing men's basketball and beyond that, other assorted sports when then team photographer is double-booked.

I am available for photography in the NC area. I have my own set of strobes in the Dean Smith Center in Chapel Hill.
