Sports Shooter Academy VII will be held April 7 - 10, 2010 in Southern California. This workshop is a hands-on shooting workshop with participants covering real sports events, including NCAA Division I sports. Each evening, participants edit their work and receive critiques from the faculty.

The faculty includes: Robert Hanashiro (USA TODAY and Sports Shooter founder); Matt Brown (freelance photographer); Wally Skalij (Los Angeles Times); Michael Goulding (Orange County Register); Sean Haffey (San Diego Union) and Myung J. Chun (Los Angeles Times).

Full time students accepted into this workshop will be able to attend tuition-free through funding from Nikon. Tuition for working photographers is $600 for SportsShooter.com member and $650 for non-SportsShooter.com members.

There are a very limited number of spaces available in the workshop. The deadline for applications is January 8, 2010.

The Sports Shooter Academy was started by Hanashiro and Brown to give students and working photographers an opportunity to improve their sports photography, learn new techniques under the guidance of an award-winner faculty and receive a healthy dose of inspiration.
