Jeff Snyder at The Belmont setting up a few remotes.
Welcome to all of you that are now reading Sports Shooter on the web via the new site! How fantastic is this? Finally a place for everyone to showcase their work with one stop shopping, and it's great to see so many familiar names in the "Members Index", finally matching images to the names.... a BIG round of applause to Brad, Grover, Jason, and of course Bert for all of their very hard work...

... And live from the Belmont Stakes a few weeks ago....We all (well I did) had those $2 win tickets on War Emblem to take the Triple Crown, and obviously that didn't happen, as Sarava the 70-1 long shot came out in front. So many photographers were on hand to capture the hopeful Triple Crown, and ready with 100's of remote cameras …

Our two specials in the SportsShooter.com "Our Store" area (http://www.sportsshooter.com/store.html) will continue while supplies last:

1) The Domke F3X Black Ballistic bags with the White House Press Photographers Association logo embroidered on the front, and a WHNPA luggage tag attached, at $65, regularly $89.

2) Lexar's 1GB 16X Compact Flash Card, and the NEW Price is sooooo low that I cannot publish it. Contact me for pricing information on all Lexar Professional series cards.

Ok, and now the news:
Nikon's D100 "should" begin to ship very soon, possibly by the time you read this. Also, all of the information on the accessories related to the D100 will be released as of 07/01. We will officially be accepting orders for the D100 as of 07/01/02. D1H and D1X's are in stock as are most of the lenses and accessories...The new SB80DX and SB30 (under $100) flash units are here too! The SB80Dx is a big improvement for D-TTL flash photography using your D1H or D1X...Read more about these two units here: http://www.nikonusa.com/usa_group/group.jsp?cat=1&grp=4.

The 5700 will offer serious photographers advanced features including an Electronic Viewfinder (EVF) for through-the-lens viewing, Nikon's exclusive Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass for superior image quality and the ability to capture in a RAW data recording mode for ultimate image control.
