Sports Shooter Contest Deadline Announced

After a month delay, we are finally announcing the details for the Annual Sports Shooter Contest.

The deadline will be midnight Pacific Time Super Bowl Sunday, Jan. 28, 2000.

Judging will take place in mid-February and will be hosted by Nikon Professional Services.

This year's categories are:

CATEGORY 1: BEST DIGITAL PHOTO.
(This can be a feature, portrait or action image. And must have been captured on a digital camera.)

CATEGORY 2: BEST FILM PHOTO.
(This can be a feature, portrait or action image. And must have been captured on a film camera.)

CATEGORY 3: BEST OLYMPIC PHOTO.
(This is any image shot at the Sydney Summer Olympics or of any Olympic-related event or athlete. This includes all Olympic Trials competition or an image of an athlete who competed at the Sydney Olympic Games. For instance a portrait of Maurice Greene would qualify.)

CATEGORY 4: BEST OF SHOW.
(This winner of this category will be selected from the winner of the other three categories. You DO NOT enter this category. The contest judging panel will select the images from all of the entries for this category.)

Submission of entries will be via e-mail and the web and details will be announced in the December issue. We cannot accept prints or submission of images on disk or CD.
