Digital Notes
By Robert Hanashiro

-Kodak has posted version 5.5.4 of their PhotoShop acquire plugin (Mac and Windoze) for DCS cameras. According to Kodak's Wayne Shipman, Support Specialist, DCS Digital Cameras, the new acquire plugin features:

JPEG in three sizes and three qualities, direct from our Copy To: command to your disk, server, or email link. No requirement to interact with Photoshop or other application. Can't do captions; but to dump files fast, it's a winner and the JPEG algorithm used is first-rate. JPEG gets a bad rap, sometimes due to poor implementation.

Ours looks good so far:
Runs on 32 megs for any camera NOT using the 6 megapixel sensors (DCS 560, EOS-DCS 1, DSC 460, DCS 465 all require 64 megs)

Makes some performance improvements and fixes bugs since V5.02 or V5.01.
Supports the IEEE 1394 on Windows.
