TRI-X CONTEST WINNER - Sponsored by Robert Distributors
By Shelley Lipton

Tri -X Remembered
Several months back we published a tribute to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Tri-X. As part of that tribute, we held a "pop-up contest" asking Sports Shooter members and Sports Shooter Academy alums to submit an image captured on Tri-X and write a short remembrance about the images and this iconic film.

Thanks to Roberts Distributors, Adorama and Think Tank Photo for supporting this first "pop-up contest".

"The suspense and anticipation of viewing the negative after drying never gets old" Shelley Lipton

My love for Tri-X comes from shooting with a 4x5 camera which I still use today. I find peace in the zen like process of loading the sheet film and developing it in total darkness.
There's nowhere in this crazy busy world where I feel so much calm and contentment.

The suspense and anticipation of viewing the negative after drying never gets old.

(Thanks to Roberts Distributors and Jody Grober for sponsoring this award.)
