Sports Shooter Academy unveils new website; SSA XI workshop to be held November 5th – 9th in Southern California

The Sports Shooter Academy recently unveiled a newly designed website that features the best images from the various workshop over the past 9 years.

The site, now hosted by PhotoShelter, displays galleries with much larger images, along with information about the educational programs, videos and bios of the various members of the instructor staff.

The next workshop will be held November 5-9 in Southern California and gives participants to cover various local and college sports under the guidance of a faculty of award-winning photographers. The instructors for Sports Shooter Academy include:

· Rod Mar (Seattle Seahawks team photographer)
· Michael Goulding (Orange County Register staff photographer)
· Brad Mangin (San Francisco-based freelance photographer)

· Shawn Cullen (Sports Illustrated)
· Tim Mantoani (San Diego-based freelance photographer)
· Myung J. Chun (Los Angele Times visual journalist)
· Michael Corrado (Nikon Professional Services)
· Ronal Taniwaki (Nikon Professional Services)
· Robert Hanashiro (USA TODAY staff photographer)

On Wednesday Nov. 5, the workshop’s keynote speaker session will be open to the public. Presentations for this session will be:

Grover Sanschagrin (VP of Business Development and Co-Founder of PhotoShelter)

Many of the Sports Shooter Academy supporting companies will be at the open sessions, showing off equipment and featuring special pricing on gear. A full list of companies will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Sports Shooter Academy is sponsored by Nikon Professional Services. Funding provided by NPS goes toward paying the tuition for college students to attend the SSA. NPS also provides loaner equipment for workshop participants to use cover to the various sports events and other shoots.
