There will be a few changes in this year's contest. We will be accepting entries via email. All entries must be received at SptShtr@AOL.com by midnight Pacific time on January 31, 2000.

Entries must be 72 dpi with dimensions not to exceed 6 inches. Images should also be compressed at a Photoshop JPEG setting of 4. You can enter up to two images per category in up to two different categories with a total limit of 4 images.

All entries must have been TAKEN between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 1999.

Entries must have complete captions, including when it was taken, in the Photoshop "file info". Your name, address and the publication the image was shot for should also be included somewhere in the "file info."

Failure to include complete entry info will result in disqualification.

NOTE: The contest is open to only Sports Shooter subscribers. If you aren't already a subscriber (it's FREE), just email Robert Hanashiro to be put on the mailing list.

This contest is for fun and a little recognition, so please accept the rules and decision of the judges in the spirit of this contest.

All winners will be posted on the Sports Shooter Archive web site.

To take a look at last year's contest winners, go to: http://www.manginphotography.com/sptshtr5.contest.winners.html

NOTE: do not mail entries to my Mindspring email address. The contest entries must be emailed to SptShtr@AOL.com. You don't want to make me mad by clogging this email address with your contest entries. Remember, I am one of the judges and you wouldn't want me mad at you!

Thanks to Bruce Kwitny at Roberts, Jason Ness and Wayne Shipman from Eastman Kodak; Chuck Westfall from Canon, USA, Ron Taniwaki from Nikon, Bob Luce of Fujifilm, Jeff Snyder from Penn Camera and Larry Nolan of Versa-Flex Inc. for helping to make the 2nd Annual Sports Shooter Contest possible.
