New Ranger, Pocket Wizards and Photo Books Highlight Adorama Specials
By Jeff Snyder

Elinchrom Ranger Quadra
Here we are, its almost July 4th, the summer is half over, and Adorama has your mid-summer savings...whether it's Cameras, Lenses, Video gear, or larger memory cards, we have what you're looking for, at the right price. Check out Adorama.com for your Photo needs, AdoramaPix.com for all your printing, or AdoramaRentals.com for your next big assignment where you need that exotic piece of gear.

Elinchrom Ranger Quadra: Good Things Come in Small Packages
NEW from Elinchrom, "The Ranger Quadra" A VERY small portable battery powered strobe system. This is by far the smallest portable system that I have ever seen. The Ranger Quadra Generator with Battery weighs in at 6.6lbs, the Ranger Quadra Heads are only .55lbs each, yes, just slightly over 1/2 pound. With a power range from 8.2-400ws, up to 4000 flashes per charged battery, an LED Modeling Light, built in Skyport Receiver, and a fast re-charge time of 45 mins-1.5 hours, this system cannot be beat. I am at Joe McNally's Lighting Workshops this week with Mark Astman of Bogen. Mark is showing off this system, and I've been floored by how small and lightweight the Quadra's are. If you shoot Weddings, Outdoor Portraiture, Photojournalism, or are even a weekend warrior, this is the system that you should be investigating now. We expect to begin to receive them in mid-July. (Check in with me for pricing). Bogen's List Price on the kit (PN EL10290) is $2438 which includes: 1 Ranger Quadra, 2 batteries, 2 heads, 2 reflectors, 1 Skyport transmitter, cables, charger and a hard case. Elinchrom did it right, the Ranger Quadra will get your creative juices going for sure.

Pocket Wizard's new ZoneController
Pocket Wizard has just announced the ZoneController, the latest addition to its ControlTL system of wireless flash products. The ZoneController can give the user control over three independent groups, or "zones" of lights. The unit sits in the hot shoe of a MiniTT1 or FlexTT5 radio and communicates with a FlexTT5 at the main flash for zone A, B, or C. Using this system in the studio or on location, a photographer can turn three zones of lights on and off as needed to control lighting. Pocket Wizard expects to have the ZoneController ready by late summer.

Nikon D3, D3X, D700, D90, D5000, plus so much more...Lenses, and every accessory made, is available to you now. Always check with me 1st for your hard to find items.
