Application forms are now available for the upcoming Sports Shooter Academy Boot Camp to be held Nov. 2 - 3, 2007 in Southern California.
The Sports Shooter Academy Boot Camp will be an intensive two full days combining multimedia training and sports photography. If you want to take your work to "the next level" --- Internet presentations combining stills, audio and video --- this workshop is for you.
To download the application form, go to this link on SportsShooter.com:

Day 1 (Nov. 2) will be a full day of multimedia training, programmed and lead by Apple personnel. Apple will also provide workstations for each participant to use during the training session, so this will truly be a "hands-on" experience. In the evening we will discuss gathering audio and interview techniques for multimedia projects, visual story-telling, picture stories and generating ideas.
(The Apple multimedia training session is outlined in this story from the current Sports Shooter Newsletter: http://www.sportsshooter.com/news/1794. If you are unfamiliar with the Sports Shooter Academy Workshops, you can get a feel for what is involved by viewing the videos in the "Special Features area of SportsShooter.com:

Day 2 (Nov. 3) participants will go out to cover a local sports event with the workshop faculty. Those of you that want to produce a multimedia project will have the opportunity to do this at the event. Canon, USA will provide loaner equipment for participants to use, including their latest professional digital cameras and lenses. In the evening, participants will edit their work and receive one-on-one critiques from the faculty. Prizes will be awarded to the best photographs and the best multimedia projects produced during the day.
Registration fees for the Sports Shooter Academy Boot Camp are $180 for full-time college and university students, $220 for non-students and professionals.
In addition to Apple and Canon USA, other Boot Camp sponsors at this writing include Think Tank Photo and Samy's Camera.
This workshop will give participants the unique opportunity to combine the hands-on experience that makes the Sports Shooter Academy the best sports photography workshop in the country along with cutting-edge multimedia training, using the most up-to-date computers and software provided by Apple.
Space is very limited, so you will want to apply sooner rather than later. Once all of the spaces are filled, we will start a waiting list. If you have any questions about The Boot Camp, email me at: bert@sportsshooter.com.
I hope you'll join me and a group of my cool friends that will make up the Boot Camp faculty on Nov. 2 - 3, 2007 in So Cal!
