Start Your Engines: Spring Special From Roberts Distributors
By Jody Grober

Greeting from Indy and I trust everyone is having a great spring.

It was nice to see so many shooters at the Derby. It was my first visit and boy was I wowed…quite an event. I was fortunate enough to be assisting for the infamous one and had just a stellar experience. Now it is race time in Indy so make sure you stop in if you come to town.

Basketball playoffs rage on and I have good stock in the Versa-Flex baseline B-Ball chair @ $85.00.

I know Nikon D2X bodies have been hard to get, but I may be able to squirrel a few away for members…BM3 and BL1 are still very hard to get but most everything else is flowing well. Nikon is still running its spring rebate program ( I have two used D1X bodies, one with and one without the buffer upgrade, both in excellent condition. Call and ask for Brock and tell him to get the SS price from me.

June special on Think Tank Photo Modulus belt system at $124.97 ( and the Pro Modulus belt system at $249.97 ( If you purchase via the web put the code TTP052705 in the comment field to get the sale price.

Canon's "Cash in with Canon" ( rebate program is in fill swing and there is actually a $500.00 mail-in on the EOS-1D Mk II. Canon has made an announcement concerning a rare but annoying glitch in the EOS 1DS MK II when hitting the replay button while the camera is writing…here is the press release: A special thanks to EP for helping out on this…I think we have gotten some people talking, which always good.

Lexar 4Gb/87X at $399.97 (only while supplies last)…put LXR052805 in the comment field if ordering on the web. Lexar also had an announcement that was sometimes thought to be a part of the Canon image-dropping problem … here is that announcement:

I now have stock in the new NON-SLIP and I mean NON-SLIP camera and case straps from UPStrap…designed by a photographer for photographers. Check them out!

Another new product is the Tamrac Micro 4-channel radio remote kit. $299.97 for a kit with a transmitter and a receiver.

AquaTech, the best in rain protection, is in stock as always and waiting to save your gear.

Well, that is it for now…I have to get home and try to avoid the race nuts…remember…keep it fun!
