First off, I'd like to say what a great year 2004 has been! Meeting so many of you while I'm traveling the country has been just terrific. So many new friends, so many new faces! I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday season, and a very safe New Years 2005!

On a personal note, I just celebrated my 25th year with Penn Camera, so when you call, e-mail or Instant Message me, you can rest assured that my every day experiences with professional photographers insures that you not only get the gear you need, but the advice that comes from those 25+ years, to my vast travels to events around the country, as well as my personal shooting experiences. I want to wish all Sports Shooter readers a very safe and Happy New Year!!!

2005 is looking up here in the Nation's Capitol. Besides the Washington Wizards having a great season; we can't wait for opening day of the new Washington Nationals! MLB is BACK, and us longtime Washingtonian's are counting the days till that 1st pitch ... C'mon April!

Early 2005 Happenings...

SEPCON - If you happen to be in New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl on 01/03/05, stop in to the Hyatt by the Super Dome on Poydras, and check out the Trade show at SEPCON. SEPCON is the Sports & Event Photographers Conference, and for all the weekend little league shooters out there, you won't want to miss this event. Come by the Penn Camera booth to say hello....Read more about SEPCON here:

Inauguration - President Bush's 2nd Inauguration is just weeks away on January 20th, 2005, and though not a "sporting" event, this is one of the most widely photographed events every four years here in Washington, DC. When you come into town for your organization, there are two Penn Camera locations just blocks from the White House (1015 18th ST, NW) and US Capitol (840 E Street, NW). I'll be in town, making sure that the supplies you need are available, so keep my phone number handy, you'll need it I can be reached daily at 301-210-7366, or 1-800-347-5770.

Super Bowl XXXIX - For all the credentialed photographers at the Super Bowl, Penn Camera and I will once again be there for you. Last minute supplies such as memory cards, batteries, monopods, cases, long glass, camera bodies, whatever your need is, I'll have it for you....If there's something in particular you're looking for, and you know you'll be there, drop me a note or call me, and I can have it for you. Something new for all the remote shooters out there: Penn Camera is now stocking the "Pro Platform" and the "Mini Pro Plate in addition to all of the accessories from . These are the nicest remote mounts you have seen....If you shoot Basketball, Horse Racing, or Track and Field, then you need this system.
